John Sigler
John Sigler is Manager Car Administration with
the Mechanical Department, Norfolk Southern Corporation and current Chairman of
the AAR Arbitration and Rules Committee. He has participated in a number of Rail
Safety Advisory Committees and was the NS representative on the Industry
Committee to address the Reflectorization Regulation. He was a member of the
Technical Advisory Group formed to address the changes to MSRP Standard S-910 -
Lettering and Marking. He is the TAG chairperson for drafting the AAR
Interchange Rule 66, Reflectorization.
Dick Dawson
Dick Dawson retired from full-time employment after 36 years in the railroad industry in 2003, at which time he was Chief Engineer for TTX Company. He presently serves as an engineering consultant. During his career, he worked in various positions involving freight car engineering for the Penn Central Railroad, Trailer Train, Berwick Forge & Fabricating, and TTX Company. He is a former chairman of the CDOA Protective Coatings Committee, the American Welding Society Railroad Welding Committee and the AAR Equipment Engineering Committee. He was a member of the AAR Technical Advisory Group that developed requirements for freight car reflectorization as part of MSRP Standard S-910, "Lettering and Marking" and is currently chairman of the AAR Safety Appliance Task Force.
