Cory A. Allen

Cory A. Allen has over 28 years experience in industrial coatings and corrosion control.  He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Polymer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi, and is registered in the State of Alabama as an E.I.T.  He holds NACE International certifications for Corrosion Specialist, Cathodic Protection Specialist, Materials Selection & Design Specialist, and Protective Coatings Specialist.   He currently is the Director of Quality Systems for the Vulcan Group, Birmingham, AL., an ISO 9001 registered company and can be contacted at 205.428.0556.

Scott Leonhard

Scott Leonhard has been involved with coatings for over 33 years. First with Plasite and most recently with Stoncor Transportation Group,
representing both Plasite and Carboline coatings sold to the railroad industry. Scott has extensive knowledge in the manufacturing, application
and the chemical resistance of coatings and linings. Scott has spent 12 years in technical service before going into sales and technical management over 8 years ago. Scott's current position with Stoncor has him managing the sales efforts of 5 salesmen and 2 technical service technicians. Scott is the current member of NACE STG 43. STG 43 address's issue's that relate to land transportation.

Steve Smyczek

Steve is from Milwaukee Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been in the High Performance Coatings industry for 17 years. His hobbies include home brewing, sailing, and road racing.

Larry DeLashmit

Studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Martin. He has been involved with the rubber lining industry since 1968. He has held many positions with various companies in the industry including Chief Chemist, Plant Superintendent, Field Superintendent and Sales Manager. Larry has published papers with NACE and MARTS. He wrote the section on rubber linings for the soon to be released ASM Handbook Volume 13B that is titled “Corrosion: Materials, Environments, and Industries”. 

In his current position, as Regional Sales Manager for Polycorp, He is responsible for all rail car accounts.

Mike Winter  

Born in Brighton, England, Mike was attained a BSc (Hons) Chemistry from Bristol University, England and Graduated in 1986.

He served from 1986-1990 as a Development Chemist for International Paint, England. During the years of 1990-1994 Mike was Senior Chemist for International Paint, Houston TX. From 1994 to the present, he has been employed by Sigma Coatings USA, Harvey, LA

He was first employed as senior chemist, developing coatings for Rail, Marine and Offshore industries. From 1998-2000, Mike was Product Manager. From 2000-2002, he was Director of R&D and from 2002 to present, Mike has been Technical Manager.

Mike is a member of NACE and SSPC and member of various committees on standards developments.

He Resides in New Orleans, LA. His hobbies include scuba diving, rock climbing and Irish Bars.
